Meet the Team
Armando Banuelos is the Founder and Operating Partner of the Capitol group of companies. After earning his B.S. in Business Administration from Chico State, Armando transformed his small house flipping business into a comprehensive group of real estate companies. Under his leadership, Capitol has acquired, managed, and sold over 5,000 properties, from single-family homes to multifamily units and commercial properties—while expanding nationwide.
Isaias Escobedo joined the team in 2010 after earning his B.S. in Business Administration from Chico State. Isaias began assisting in the fix & flip division. Soon after, he acquired his real estate license and has been Capitol’s Designated Broker since 2019. He also leads the Capitol Multifamily Group division, overseeing 187 units currently under management.
Karla Salazar began her career as a lender, where she built strong client relationships that led her to transition into real estate. With over 12 years of experience, she has helped buyers secure homes and investments, guided sellers to maximize value, and supported investors through acquisition, renovation, and resale across varying market conditions.
Derek Goetz is responsible for overseeing company finances, banking, capital structure, and investor relationships, as well as guiding marketing and sales strategies to ensure consistent lead flow and revenue. His top goals are to create systems that simplify operations, reduce errors, and make the workflow more predictable, allowing him to shift his time toward strategic decision-making. He is also focused on becoming a stronger, more confident leader—building lasting processes, and expanding his knowledge in capital structuring and financial planning for growth.
